We are so excited to welcome Amy+Ben to the CSP 5 Timer’s Club!! Technically they’re being introduced next month during their newborn session but I figured I’d give it a head start. :) We’ve photographed them for their engagement session, their wedding, this time they lived in NYC and we slept on an air mattress in their apartment and hung out with their cats Lucy+Elaine, now for their maternity, and next month when they meet their newborn son! It’s so awesome to be such a big part of helping tell someone’s family history like this, especially for people who are near and dear to our hearts. We are so glad that these guys are back in the state and living in Raleigh, and so excited for them to begin what will surely be an awesome family. Amy and Ben are some of the kindest and smartest people we know, and we’re sure these qualities will get passed on to their kiddo. Congratulations, friends!
Chasity and Michael are a wonderful couple who spent their three-year wedding anniversary wandering around Lake Lynn with us, talking about He-Man and The Walking Dead. Chasity has an incredibly charming southern accent from spending half of her life in Georgia, and has the blondest and most wonderful head of hair I think I’ve seen on a real human. It is indeed her natural hair color, and it is fabulous. We’ve had quite a few clients who are walking shampoo commercials in the past couple of months, and she’s definitely up on there on the list. Chasity loves loves loves Michael, their dog named Binx (named after the Hocus Pocus cat), cooking, running, and photography. Her and Michael are on-the-go people, with Chasity working as a medical assistant for a dermatologist and Michael being a police officer.
In Michael’s off time, he enjoys 80s things. He collects toys, he watches comic-book movies and tv shows, and also likes to paint. It appears that he has a toy collection that potentially rivals Geoff’s extensive Star Wars collection, with He-Man being the toy he’d choose to take with him on a desert island. This sparked a painful retelling of how Geoff’s He-Man toy mysteriously disappeared from his tent while he was camping once, and also how he narrowly saved his He-Man sleeping bag from a yard sale (it is indeed living in our linen closet where Geoff can keep an eye on it). We had a fabulous time getting to know Chasity and Michael, and documenting them at this point in their lives and their marriage! It was an honor to be with you guys on your wedding anniversary and so thoroughly discuss He-Man with you.
Amanda and David will have been together for 10 years in December and decided to hang out with us in some parking lots and alleyways and get bit by a whole bunch of mosquitos to celebrate! During this celebration we mostly tortured Amanda with spinning and twirling and tickling but I’m sure she’s stronger for it now. These two met while they were both in high school forever ago and then they went to NC State where they graduated and both got jobs doing teacher-esque things helping kiddos and helping people help kiddos. They have two cats named Genevieve and Gillian because they believe that animals should have human names. David likes working on cars and educated me about how to feel safe while driving a Miata around tractor trailers. Amanda likes barre classes and pop music. Together, they enjoy grilling and a fine gin (is the term “fine gin” a thing?). They also like traveling and are planning a trip to Puerto Rico that we’re jealous of (Carolyn is easily portable inside a suitcase and no one ever has to know). We are so glad that they spent their anniversary with us so we could photograph these fineeee, fine people and their love.
