woah! it’s been a long time. i’ve been super busy between website additions and holiday gatherings and have totally neglected to update my blog.

some fun updates:

– designing a coffee table book exclusively for the use of bringing to my consultations so you don’t have to look at pictures of the coffee table book, but can actually see the coffee table book itself. i know, a crazy idea right? ;)

– CSP now ships all high-res portrait DVDs and both low and high-res DVDs of weddings in personalized DVD cases. they’re padded, have magnetic closures, and have your photograph on them. more importantly they look awesome and protect your DVD better than a standard jewel case.

– carolyn and geoff got droids! now i have instant access to e-mail, my twitter account, and my calendar…which means you experience less time waiting for me to get back to you. :) although i’m pretty much addicted to checking my e-mail anyway and am generally pretty fast in responding, this is good for when i expect to be back in pittsburgh in 8 hours but actually spend 11 hours driving due to holiday traffic and don’t have anything else to do.

shortly before thanksgiving i was given the pleasure of photographing wonderful family portraits for jane and her husband. they have two married sons and 3 grandchildren (with one more coming soon!) and it was delightful to meet the family and take some adorable pictures. beautiful kids and a beautiful family!

the weather here has been less than stellar and one of the kids is recovering from the flu, so we stuck to the great indoors for these ones:

autumn architecture.

greg, one of my closest and dearest friends from college, came to visit me last weekend from baltimore! we had such a fantastic time. greg is a brilliant photographer and has an amazing eye for just about everything. he’s getting a website set up to showcase his amazing photography portfolio and i’ll be putting the link up in my blog as soon as it’s ready. until then, he came down to visit and we went out on a photo safari down blount street in raleigh to take photographs of the historic homes. most of them are landmarks now although there are a few that are still inhabited (wish i could afford one of them!). here are some of the photographs i snapped on my side. they’re all fairly dark and creepy because, well, the houses are fairly dark and creepy. especially on an overcast day in november:

ikea kittens.

so in between weddings and editing and various business deals and consults of the like, we’ve been attending birthday parties, thanksgiving parties, and having our friends in from out of state. it’s been a busy november so far.

and although i haven’t been having the time to update this daily, i feel like i need to fill people in on some of the more important personal events that happen… like getting your kitten a tent.

hey, most people write about their kids, we write about our kittens. of course, dolfy loves the tent and now frequently camps outside our bedroom door at night in style. it’s just about the cutest thing i’ve ever seen. and for 8 bucks, you can’t beat putting your cat up in a classy camoflauge cat tent instead of having him rip giant holes in your laundry hamper.

“holes? in your things? me?”

yes, you’re right, that’s just not any camoflauge… those are pictures of cats, bunnies, and birds. buckles was skepticle at first and still cautiously approaches it like something is going to jump out, but i caught him sleeping in it the other day, so it might be catching on. i really need to get some good pictures of buckles up on here, but i’ll have plenty of time for that once his favorite toy of all time comes out next month: the christmas tree. until then, sweet dreams ikea kittens everwhere.
