Amelia and Cory are two awesome folks who were living in the north and moved to North Carolina not too long ago. They like to take walks with their pup Jax and go to various parks in the area. We met up with them at Bond Park on a seriously beautiful fall day. The only problem with it was the fact that it had rained for about two weeks straight and everything was muddy and also flooded. But! Amelia, Cory, and their adorable little dog (who is apparently a North Carolina type of wild dog – who knew?) were up for the task of photos in the swamp. Jax was also up for JUST HANGING OUT AND BEING THERE WITH HIS PARENTS, YEAAAAHHH!!! Seriously, Jax was probably the most enthusiastic client we’ve ever had in terms of sheer excitement, and also he did not get tired of smiling. It took a bit more work to get him to focus, but thankfully he loves tennis balls as much as he loves his parents, so he would pay attention to us briefly if we could distract him long enough between licking his parents’ faces. He is very excited to see them get married up in Michigan next year!
I feel like it’s been a while since we posted just a good ole engagement session up in here! A couple of our sessions have been rained out or postponed for various things, and we’ve been out of town a lot, so now’s a good chance to jump back into the portraits. We shot these ones of Callie and Jeff, two pretty rad people getting married in the spring, outside of the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh and down around Historic Oakwood. Those two adorable furry things with them are named Harper (black lab – 9) and Abbi (hound/beagle/dog? – almost a year). They were really well behaved and mostly cooperative and 100% cute (the dogs, not Callie and Jeff, although they were also well behaved, cooperative, and cute). Here we are lurking around the neighborhood while staying on the sidewalks so we can’t legally be held responsible for said lurking. Enjoy.
Chelsey and Eric hail from Pittsburgh, PA just like us! They’re getting married at the college where they met in Pittsburgh (St. Vincent’s) and where the Steelers practice. I’m fairly certain most of their wedding pictures should be them on top of a grassy field gazing lovingly at one another with a bunch of linebackers pummeling each other in the background, but I think they might disagree. They also recently found out that they’ll be getting married on Homecoming weekend, so we could also throw them into a parade wearing a few sashes and crowns. I have all sorts of good ideas! Thankfully I know everyone will stop me from carrying out my good ideas and I’ll be left with less-awesome crownless ones, but I have to do what the people want. Chelsey and Eric came down here a few years ago and have since been recruiting family members and aren’t missing the southwestern PA weather or traffic. Eric teaches and Chelsey plans events. They are two super sweet and super adorable people whom we think are pretty great, and we’re looking forward to spending their wedding day with them next year!
