We are so, so grateful for all of our wonderful clients in 2015. The best part of this job is meeting so many new people, and we had some of the best this year. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our small business and our lives. This year we photographed two Rachels, two Carolines, two Matthews, three Saras (some with an h, some without), four Jessicas, three Jennifers, three Johns, two Tims, two Emilys, three Abbys, two Michelles (one with one L, one with two), two Alexes, two Erins, two Erics, and a lot of other people who didn’t have a name twin. We love you all, and cannot wait to meet more of you in 2016. :) Looking forward to going into our 8th year of business. Congratulations to the CSP Class of 2015!

Our last engagement session of 2016 went off without a hitch (or with a hitch? since they’re getting married?) at UNC with Alex and Jacob. They’ve been together since they were in high school, but then went on a bit of a long-distance college adventure when he went to school in California and she went to UNC. Now he lives in New Orleans (of which we’re infinitely and desperately jealous), and Alex is working in Chapel Hill, but they’ll be joined together again finally after their wedding next year. Maybe.
And by “maybe” I mean “if Jacob can convince Alex to finally watch Star Wars to which she has previously agreed but has thus far not honored.” They have a cat named Neville and like Game of Thrones and, like the rest of us, aren’t sure whether they like or dislike Jaime Lannister. They were super nice to work with and were okay standing stuffed into some breed of Japanese Maple for like five minutes. And now we have to go because we stuffed ourselves into Jacob’s luggage so we can go back to New Orleans.
This is the year of really, really talented people inquiring for us to do their photo sessions and us being really nervous and scared and feeling generally unprepared and not talented enough for their talent. It’s been kinda like this. So Kayla Coleman, our internet photographer friend who produces seriously amazing photographs in really fabulous places, contacted us to do an anniversary session with herself and her husband Pat and we accepted after exactly three panic attacks. My thoughts were: her photography work makes me nervous and feeling terribly inadequate, but she’s gorgeous, so what the heck, let’s do it.
And the good news is that we survived the session and it went GREAT and we finally got to meet our dear internet friend in person (which is very important and should be done more often). We also got to meet her awesome husband Pat who’s had his picture taken many times and was one of the most cooperative (and pose-savvy) gentleman we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Kayla is even more gorgeous in person and we’re all working on getting her accept that compliment, but in the meantime you’ll have to settle for looking at their anniversary portraits below. :) CONGRATULATIONS, FRIENDS! We are absolutely honored to have been your photographers this year!
