Vivi // At Three Years.

YES!! We were so happy to receive an email from Vivi’s parents expressing their desire to hire us yet again to follow Vivi around on a toddler adventure of epic proportions. We did this last year, and it was fantastic. We were warned that Vivi would neither pose nor listen to any photography directions whatsoever, so we were free to follow her around and see where she’d take us. Last year she was into picking up leaves and sticks and running around trying to open the doors to most buildings in the park. She also liked Mr. Geoff. This year she ditched her interest in picking up leaves and is now into picking up little rocks instead. She’s still picking up sticks, but they’re bigger than last year, and instead of trying to open most of the doors, she tried to open every single door she could find anywhere. Most of the time she’d pretend to hit an imaginary buzzer and say, “Ding-dong!” so at least she’s not just barging into the buildings unannounced. Last year it rained on her session, and this year it rained again. Both years she was fine with it. She still likes Mr. Geoff, she’s still adorable, and still has that amazing hair. VIVI TURNS THREE!

We love a good anniversary session. Stephanie and Randy are high school sweethearts that have been together for 17 years. Now that they’re celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary, they decided to have some photos taken. So we hopped, skipped, and jumped on down to Fort Mill, South Carolina to take photos of them hanging out and being adorable together. They love music (especially Phish, whom they’ve traveled from Maine to Florida to see), and biking/hiking around the Charlotte area, where they moved from New York. We had a great time getting to know them while running around some pastures, exploring some creeks, getting bitten by mosquitos, and making friends with horses. They sat in hay, walked through streams, and were super good sports the entire time. :) Stephanie’s been a big fan of ours for a while and we hope the pictures fulfill the CSP wedding anniversary dream! We couldn’t have asked for two nicer or funnier people to spend a great fall evening with.Couple standing in forestCouple in forestCouple holding hands and walkingCouple walking through forestCouple standing by creekCouple holding hands and walkingCouple standing by creekMan and woman walking along dirt pathCouple laughingWedding anniversary portrait in South CarolinaCouple standing by treesCouple sitting on cottage stairsCouple standing by cottageCouple cuddlingSilhouette by barnPeople walking to horsesBarn in South CarolinaHay SiloEngagement photographers in South CarolinaCouple with hay balesPortrait with hay balesCouple sitting in hayCouple standing on farm

When we first met Jess+Erin, they invited us to come out to Jess’s mother’s property out in Pittsboro. It is a gorgeous property – wooded, with tons of space, trees, plant beds, and garden space. Their dream was to turn the property into the perfect venue for their wedding, but they were in for a ton of gardening. The space for the ceremony was in a gated garden area, and they walked us through where the chairs would be and where they’d stand and their vision for the various things they’d plant in order to maximize the full blooming potential of the land for the following year. The property was already beautiful, but we couldn’t believe it when we returned a year later for their wedding to see the garden. It had absolutely blossomed, literally and figuratively, and there were tons and tons of flowers everywhere. They used their own garden flowers for their bouquets, for their centerpieces, and just about everywhere in between. There were butterflies everywhere, and lots of other colorful bugs. They had gardened and gardened and crafted and crafted and made this wedding from scratch. It was absolutely a dream venue space.

It goes to show that Jess and Erin work hard and are creative, kind, joyful people. They always had faith in us, each other, and their family and friends. Everyone pulled together in an awesome showing of love and support to get this done, and we think it turned out beautifully. Congratulations friends, you are truly a beautiful couple inside and out, and we are so thankful to have worked with you both.
